Hi Folks
I thought I would share my play time today.
I spent the last three days with my head stuffed in books and journals and desperately needed to do something creative today.
I got a new die from Sizzix and was totally inspired by my recent trip to a Haute Couture Flower Shop in Paris. They make flowers for all the top designers!! Gorgeous stuff...their newest flowers they showed us were made from plastic...well I got to thinking that maybe I could play around and make something pretty :-)
Here is the die I used
The great thing about Sizzix is that it cuts plastic. I cut the flowers pieces from clear plastic and colored them with my alcohol inks...remember those?
I then used my heating tool and warmed the plastic pieces then used my foam pad and hammer head to shape the plastic while it was warm...it cools and hardens pretty quickly so work fast.
The curved hammer end was perfect for the center of the flower!!
They kind of look like stained glass, they would make great sun catchers...so many colors so little time.
I cut four flower shapes and layered them on top of each other. I used my Cropadile to punch holes in the center for my brads to hold them all together.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have time to have some fun today!!
All the products I use can be purchased at
Here are some pics from my Parisian Trip to Legeron (flower making shop).
The man to the left is Bruno the owner, he is the fourth generation to continue the company! He told us that he does not have any heirs...hello I raise my hand and offered right away, he laughed but I was very serious...we shall see??
Beautiful, all leather made for Dior!
The was the plastic one that inspired me, I know mine does not even come close, but it is nice to dream...
They showed us something in the works for Tom Ford!! Tom Ford for those of you who do not know is the head designer for Gucci and recently YSL...yikes!!
DREAM........
Peace Out
