Two Posts in One Day

I am back!!

I was getting my Easter Stuff ready and realized that I wanted to do something special for my daughter.

She recently went through a rough time with work and landed a new job, all at 22.

I am so proud of her, she got a promotion and is well on her way to becoming a top chef :-)

I have an Easter Basket for her (my only child I still like to have fun).

I wanted her Easter Card to say something encouraging so here it is...

This is a large tag, something to tie onto her basket.

I started with Jillibean Kraft Paper.  I adhered that to a chipboard background for stability.

Over that I painted Ranger Clear Crackle Paint.  I bent the edges and distressed the sides and added Distress Inks: Tumbled Glass, Victorian Velvet, Walnut Stain.

I also smeared some Crystal Stickles for some Sparkle (come on it's me)!

 

I stamped on Wide Twill Tape a Tim Holz New Sentiment and frayed the edges.

The butterfly part was done with Sticky Back Canvas.

You will not believe this, but this weekend I learned that If you stick any paper onto the sticky side of the canvas and flip it over and heavily wet the paper you just stuck, the image will transfer to the canvas. I used Graphic 45 Paper for this technique.

I know this sounds confusing, I am working on a video to better demonstrate what I did.  Hopefully I can load it up by tonight.

I also added ribbon, a Prima Flower, a Tim Holtz Key, some Petaloo Sparkle Flowers, Karen Foster Sparkle Brad and a Martha Stewart Butterfly.

Charming

Good Morning Folks

The only words I have for this next item I made this past weekend is charming and elegant!!

This class was given by Melissa Frances, her products are sooo beautiful.

She was at the Trade Show this past weekend and I found out that she is a wonderful person.  Denise and I spoke with her for quite sometime on Sunday.

She is a stage 3 breast cancer survivor.....what a strong and happy-go-lucky person!!!!  I was very impressed. And if you know me that is not an easy thing to do!!

She is the owner of Melissa Frances and very creative!!

Her stuff is just darling!!!

She takes the beauty of the past and gives us the opportunity to incorporate into our craft.

This is a chipboard book and yes that is a Prima Flower (hee hee)

I love the tag and pocket!!!

 I have long been a fan is Ms. Melissa!!!

And she did not disappoint me with this class!!!

Stunning.

Good Afternoon Folks

It feels so good to be home!

Except for the mess my husband left me :-(

Anyway, here is my favorite project I made this weekend,

It is from Prima, LOVE their flowers (I think you already know that LOL)

Sorry for the wrinkles it sat folded all night.

This started as a plain canvas apron.  We added Ranger Adirondack Paint, Stamped with the paint and then added flowers, lace, and fabric letters. 

How adorable!!!!

These flowers, paint, and butterflies were ordered and will be arriving soon!!

I did not order the aprons, if there is any interest in this project I can definitely get a class going, you have to let us know!!

I am Back!!!!

Good Afternoon Folks!!!

I am back from the Collin's Trade Show.

Wow!!! What a three days!!!!

I was hanging out and taking classes from Melissa Frances, Tim Holtz, and Jennifer McGuire.

What else could you ask for???

I took many classes and will be passing the new techniques and inspiration along to you....

I learned a new technique for the Sticky Back Canvas that is so easy and amazing I can not wait to share.

Outlines has come out with a NEW Line of Flower Stamps mmmm....the wheels are turning

   was PRIMA.

They have the most incredible flowers and embellishments.

Everyday Moments

Good Afternoon Folks

It's MoJo Monday!!!

Here is my card

 

This was a real simply one!!

Here is the sketch

 

You can see I took a few liberties LOL, I can never color inside the lines.

Anyway, I used the New Paper from TPC.  I have used these before...I just LOVE these colors!!!!!

Very Springy....I have Spring Fever so badly

Here is a close up of the sentiment.

It is NEW by Tim Holtz, I love this stamp set, you have to check them out :-) very versatile.

The yellow diamond embossed rectangle is Velvet from SEI.

I embossed it with one of my folders and glued it on chip board.

On Top I added a Paper Lace Green Ribbon...New from Basic Grey!!

The pearls and gems are from Making Memories, they come in the cutest little box with little lids.

The flower is from my stash, I did not like the color, it was white so I added color myself with my Copics and Distress Inks.

I used the New color distress Ink Rusty Hinge to stamp the sentiment and around the torn edge, and a bit on the flower.....me likey.

This is a different size card 4x7, I like the width, it gave me more room to work.

Good Afternoon Folks

I hope you are having a great weekend...rain is on the way:=(

Here is a project I just finished

I made a box to hold 4x4 cards and envelopes.

The Paper is new from Basic Grey.

The butterflies are from a stamp set from Hero Arts.

You can see I also stamped the envelope with random butterflies.

 

Isn't the box cute!!

   The cards were so simple!! A few scallop punches a stamped sentiment from Hero Arts and then a butterfly.

I stamped the butterfly in Purple Memento Ink on White Prism Smooth Card Stock and colored it on with my Copics...

I have a pile of laundry so high you think I had 10 kids living here.

That's what I get for working in the yard all weekend long....I hate laundry!!

Almost as much as I hate food shopping.

Spring has Sprung!!

What a glorious day!!

Before I get out and enjoy it I wanted to share a new challenge with you.

(the video last night needs to be re-shot :-( bummmmmer)

The challenge is over at Crazy 4 Challenges

You are to create a Spring Card/Gift.

Here is mine....

I LOVE the new box I created with my Big Shoot.

SUPER Easy!!! I used the New Basic Grey Papers!!!

Here is the die

It is one of the long extended dies. So you will need extender plates to cut this. That is it extender plates, the die and paper.

This box is a perfect size for jewelry, money, candy....I like the jewelry part myself LOL

I also made a tag to go along with the box...

I cut my tag out in chipboard and distressed the edges with Tim Holt's Edge Distresser. It really tears the edge up nicely (the old worn look).

I added text paper and some new Distress Ink Colors: Rusty Hinge, Victorian Velvet.

Yes the NEW Tim Holtz Stamps are in!!!!

...I love the swirl!!

Here is the set I took if from...lots of great accents

I love the sayings...I will be using these quite often!!

I have lots of little embellies on this tag!! They are all brand new and just came into Wholly Scrap!

I started with ribbon/lace, then added an awesome metal button, it looks like the stamp swirl!!

The canceled stamp was perfect.  I stamped the "Hello" a Hero Stamp onto twill tape and folded it for my sentiment.

Finally the "tiles" are from Ranger.  They are clear and I glued the New Basic Grey Paper to the back of them making my own embellishment.

I also made one for the box front.  How about that cute stick pin on the box??

I had a lot of fun putting this Spring Fling Gift together !!

Water Color Stamping

Good Morning Folks 

Sun is out, flooding under control, Internet service and power back....

Well then we can have some fun!!!

Here is a card I made using an Outline Stamp, Ranger Distress Inks, and Water.

These inks work VERY well with water!!

I inked the stamp up with my Favorite Distress Ink Colors...Broken China and Shabby Shutters.

I then used my Ranger Spray and lightly (Harriet, lightly LOL) wet the stamp with water.

I stamped the image on white card stock.  I let it dry and then inked the same stamp with Memento Green Ink and re-stamped over the water color image.

I matted the stamped image with Text Paper and card stock.

The base card stock is from Coordinations.  I embossed this paper with my Swiss Dot Folder and sanded the color away.

You have to try the Coordinations paper with your embossing folders ...so much fun!

I added more white card stock and then adhered everything to the Kiwi Green Card Stock A2 size card.

The ribbon was my color inspiration!!!

The stamp is from Outlines.

You can see I used chip board and foam tape!!
