Hello Folks

I just got my power back!

We had 90 mph winds here in Hampton Beach, NH last Thursday.

Trees snapped in the middle of the trunks?

Cars lost under trees, roofs blown off, power lines down, telephone polls snapped, lots of flooding.......winter hurricane??

Anyway, I will be posting new stuff tomorrow

 ( I need natural light for the photos)

This will give my fingers a chance to thaw LOL!!

I am a hardy New Englander??? Am I not!

Time to Celebrate

Good Afternoon Folks

I had the day off today!!

Yeah....gotta love those "faculty days" LOL

So I got a chance to play with some NEW stuff!!!

I made a card and matching treat pouch......

 

The card was made for the Mojo Monday Challenge, here is the sketch...

I used the NEW papers and button, from Jillibean, OMG Super Duper Cute !

 I used a Paper Cut Round Scallop Card as the base and then used my EK Success Round Cutter to layer the papers.

The Cuckoo Clock is a NEW Stamp Set from Hero Arts....

These are so different I had to have it..obsessed much LOL??

I stamped the clock in Black Memento Ink on Cream Prism Smooth Card Stock and colored in the small areas with my Copics.

I then cut the clock out and used foam tape to adhere on.

The sentiment was also stamped, colored and cut out with the same supplies.

Now the treat pouch...

How cute is this??!!!

I found it on You-Tube....VERY EASY to make, honestly!!!

I used the same paper line and stamps.  However I added a Punch for the Green Scallops.

This is a new Martha Stewart Punch.  It punches ALL around the edge for a continuous punched look!!! I cut up the square and placed a piece inside the pouch and another piece on the flap.

Celebrate in Style

Good Afternoon Folks

My students are working on corsets right now and it inspired me to create a card...

I used a Nestabilities Labels Die to create the black corset.

I cut the two ends off, about an inch and a half and discarded the rest.

 I punched holes and laced it up with silver twine.

The Black Sparkle Paper is from Best Creations.

The Base Gray Shimmer Paper is also Best Creations...Brand New..super pretty.

I used foam tape to adhere the corset part down so that I could slide a card under it.

I used a Martha Stewart Punch for the top of the yellow card.

I wanted it to look like lace peeking through.

The Butterfly is also a Martha Punch.

Super quick and easy!!! 

I may do another one of these and really bling it up LOL

I kept this one kind of simple.

Why I Love You

Good Afternoon Folks

I wanted to share the Valentine Gift I gave to my hubby....

I made him a chip board book of his favorite people.

All the paper and embellishments I used here are all from my stash.

They were purchased at Wholly Scrap! at one point and put aside for future use.

Enjoy the inside pages and I hope they inspire you to create something special!!

  

 

 

 
This book measures 7 1/2 by 6 inches.  I cut regular chip board and covered it with paper, I think from SEI.

I used the Sticky Back Canvas for the book spine.

The License Plate on the front is a Quickutz Die.

I made "Tim Holtz" distressed tags for some of the inside pages.

I rounded the corner edges with my Cropper Chomper (it cuts through the chip board like butter!!).

I KNOW we all have stuff stored away waiting for that special project...it is time...take it out and do something with it LOL!!!

Flower Power

Good Afternoon Folks

I know I have been MIA, but it could not be helped, I had to take some time to get better.

It is awful when you need the world to slowdown, but you know it won't!!

Anyway onto my new card....

I made this for the challege over at

Crazy 4 Challenges...it was to make a "red" card.

I really wanted to focus on the "recycled look".

The card base paper is from Jillibean.  This is an A2 size card. The flower was made by punching out 12 flowers from my Marvy Flower Punch.

The paper is from an old dictionary.  I scrunched the 12 flower paper punches and then un scrunched them and put them all together with a brad. 

I was left with thin weight paper petals that would take Tim Holtz's Distressed Inks nicely.

I inked all around the edges with different colors and finished it off with Walnut Ink on the edges.

I then played with all the layers, the ones on the bottom got left alone, but the ones closer to the top got super scrunched giving the look of a carnation.

 

I added a simple fun ribbon and done!!

I have not added a sentiment yet??? I am not sure which one I want to use??

Just a little side note....here is what we got last night

Lots of heavy snow!!!

It took me 3 hours to get home from Boston last night, yuck!!

I came home to no power and a cold house without the ability to make dinner!

But it was sure pretty this morning

That is the big oak tree above my house.

My puppy loves the snow, ignore the cranky look LOL

He hates his winter coat LMAO.... I think he out grew it the little porker.

  Keep smilin :-)

It has been a crazy week for me!!

Lots of issues to handle :-(

Anyway here is a "springy" card for you....

No challenges today, just me being me LOL

The background stamp is from Hero Arts.  It is due in the store any day, I can not wait, there are some other super cool stamps coming with it!!! 

I have used this stamp a lot in the past month, I LOVE it!!!

It is so versatile.

I embossed this stamp with clear powder on white card stock.

I then used my Tim Holtz Distress Inks and blending tool to color the background. The embossed parts do not take the color, but the background paper does....love this technique! If you check out my sidebar you will see a video on this technique.

The round tile is a clear "fragment" piece also from Tim Holtz.  I added text paper to the back.

The butterfly is a stamp from Outlines.  I embossed that in gold, colored it in and added Glossy Accents to the circles. I then trimmed it out.

The gold flower is a charm left over from last years projects.

The ribbon is from Chatterbox and the "be bloomin" is from my stash

 (sorry Harriet LOL)

 

I hope this inspires you to play with your "stuff"!

Good Afternoon Folks

I had fun today with the New MoJo Sketch

 
 

Here is the sketch

 

My stamp is from Outlines.  I embossed it in black  on Smooth White Prism Paper. I then used my Blending Tool and added two shades of red ink all over giving it that pink background.

I colored the hearts and leaves in with my Copics, RV21 RV24, RV29 YG06, G07

I layered the hearts.

The circle and scallop were cut out with my Nestabilities.

The sentiment

"from the heart" is from Impression Obsession Mini Messages.

I layered that heart also.

My Dark Pink Card Stock got embossed and my two Tags: Green and Pink Edged were added.

The Green is a Nestabilities Cut and the Pink Edged Tag is from Anna Griffin.

The card Measures 5x7 and got lots of foam tape.

You can see it better from the above angle.

This card really challenged me!!!
