Leaves for Thanksgiving

Good Afternoon Folks

I have a new card to share....

This card was made in response to a I Heart 2 Stamp Challenge

Here is the sketch

I had a lot of fun with this sketch, even though I substituted leaves for stars.

Stars and Thanksgiving just do not seem to mix.... LOL

This was also made for another Challenge Crazy 4 Challenges

which was simply to make a "thanksgiving" card.

Since I have a lot of Canadian Blog Friends..."Happy Thanksgiving" !!!

I started off with Brown Card Stock and added the Red/Kraft Paper Flower Paper from Creative Imaginations.

Here is a close up of the center medallion. I used Kraft Paper already with the words from Jillibean. I cut it out with my Nestabilities and inked the edges with Brick Red Ranger Ink and a the sponge block (for a smooth soft look).

On top of that I added another Nestabilities cut out in Brown.

The Oval Piece was made by first stamping an Impression Obsession "Home is where the Heart is" word Stamp on cream Smooth Prism Card Stock in Brown Memento Ink.

I cut it out with my Nestabilities and added a Scallop Nestabilities Under it in Bo Bunny Deep Red Card Stock.

The leaves are from another Stamp, from Impression Obsession. I stamped the leaves in Brown and Red inks on Kraft Paper. I trimmed them out and layered them on.

The New Fall Dew Drops finish the medallion off.

The sentiment was created by first stamping "Happy Thanksgiving" (also part of the leaves stamp set) on Cream Prism Card Stock and inking the edges with more Brick Red and a Sponge Block.

I added more leaves and Dew Drops. Done.

The only layering I did was in between the oval pieces.
