Just Rite

Good Morning Folks

I had a great weekend (last weekend) scrappin with my gurls in Newburyport!!  You all rock :-)

Before I left

Wholly Scrap!

they had just gotten a new shipment of Just Rite stamps and Nestabilities and I was truly inspired!!

So here are a few of my creations using the two combined

 
I am lovin the purple!!

 
I used a new technique to achieve the striped background.

These three cards and two others will be included in my card class coming up in April.  Did I say April?  Whooo...yes nice weather is coming.  Anyway the class is Sat. April 16th 1-4ish. The cost will be $18.00.

You will be using Copics, Nestabilities, Just Rite Stamps, Tim Holtz Dies, and some new inking techniques.

All you will need to bring is a small pair of sharp scissors, adhesive, and foam tape, the rest will be provided.

New Book, New Class

Good Morning Folks

I tried to get this info up yesterday and ran out of sunlight, I had to work.

So, here you go

a new book

 
I will be teaching how to make this 6x6 book along with the embellishments.

The class is Saturday March 26 11:00 to 4:00 and is $49.00.  The price includes all the materials and lunch.

We will be using Graphic 45 Spring Paper, some luxurious lace and trims, Claudine Hellmuth's Matte Medium, and Tim Holtz's dies including his new butterfly dies.

If you have not used Claudine Hellmuth's Matte medium yet you will be in for a HUGE surprise at how easy it makes your life when gluing paper to paper, I {heart} this stuff!!!

There will be lots of inking, layering and painting...woohoo

This book was made up of chipboard and paper that is it...very easy and inexpensive to make (except for the embellies).  Once you learn the technique the sky and size and color combos are the limit !!

What I truly like about this book is that I have added extra space along the spine for dimensional pages in other words...  all the flowers and embellishments do not ruin the books ability to close.

1/2 inch red line tape, scorer, regular adhesive, glue gun, and foam tape, the rest will be supplied.

Good Morning Folks

I do not have any paper crafting to show you today, but thought I would share some other creations of mine.

Most of you know that I have been hard at work finishing my Grad Program in Fashion Design.  One of my goals was to become more familiar with the CAD (computer aided design) area.

Since it was spring break this week I decided to dive in...whew...two days and a severe migraine later this is what I can show you...

My original design sketch done with pencil on tracing paper

 
 
 
I reworked the design in Photoshop creating a more finished outline so that it could be read better in the Illustrator Program

 
Once transfered to the illustrator program I could color the image

 
I still have soooo much to learn with these programs!!!

I am working on a new project tonight so check in tomorrow!

 Back to my 25 page paper on Haute Couture...yikes that is a lot of words!!
