Hey Hey Hey
Guess who decided to blogtoday LOL
I have been so busy with Grad School and teaching that I have not had time to sleep.
However, I just returned from a two week stay in Paris. My colleague and I took 15 students to Paris to study the culture and fashion...what a trip!!!
Of course I had to create a little sumpin sumpin to commemorate my journey!
I have two, yes I said two, projects to show
The first is a book I made during one of the snow storm days. I was inspired and all I had (yeah right) was paper, chipboard, glue and some flowers (Prima of course) LOL
This book was totally made, from paper, chipboard and glue...
I made the binding quite large to accommodate my 3D images inside the book.
I will be teaching at
how to make this book on March 26. This will be an all day class with lunch included. The class will include how to make the book from scratch and some of the embellishments...like the flowers and pockets. I will be using the same paper, Graphic 45!
My next project...
I had a ton of extra photos left over from my book and needed a fun way to display the whole lot of them...and then this 7 Gypsies Tray was my inspiration.
It is a library tray, new to the 7 Gypsies Line. I added Tim Holtz feet, paper, stickers, flowers and embellishments from my stash!
What a great way to store/display all those extra photos you can not scrap or maybe they are waiting to be scrapped!!
The extra space at the front allows room for small souvenirs
awesome!!!
Here are a few more photos...
This card was made using chipboard, paint, and a Tim Holtz edge die for the decorative top edge.
I added some fun pockets out of glassine bags.
This tray holds 4x6 photos perfectly!! I have loads of photos in this tray and it is not even close to being full!
I will also be teaching this as a class on March 13th. at Wholly Scrap! It will include the tray, cards, and embellishments, pretty close to what you see here (except for my personal souvenirs)!
I hope these items inspire you to make something beautiful!
Thanks for stopping by :0)
Peace
