It's me again!!

I am so happy to be back.

Quickly,

I just made this card and wanted to share.....

 

I matted my 5x7 card with deep red and creamy yellow card stock.

I did an embossed inked treatment on a piece of tin foil. This is a great technique (upcoming class this summer).

On top of all the card stock pieces I used the

New Crate Paper Glitter Embellishments, these pieces are soooo cute.  The sayings and quotes that come in the package are unique and adorable!!

I added an old piece of Green Rick Rack left over from another project that fit perfectly.

Robin's Nest Dew Drops are the acetate drops I added at the end for a final touch.

I used my Nestabilities Labels to frame my tin foil.  It moved slightly when I was embossing it and I kinda like the funky way it turned out.

I have some grading to do and get ready for tomorrow.

It feels good to be able to create again!!

 Hello everyone,

Thank you for all your well wishes!!

Every so often I really overextend my back and it just gives up!

It was a very painful few days, but I am slowly inching my way back to health.

The Chiropractor did some new adjustment, "he rocked my pelvis"

Most of my problems are in my sacroiliac joint.

My husband was not too happy when I told him that  ...LOL

Anyway,

I was able to sit for a few hours this morning and make this card...

 

This is one of the new stamps from Impression Obsession.

I love the idea of the cool Glass of Lemonade on a hot day!

Hmmm yesterday??

I heat embossed the image with Pale Gold Powder from Ranger and colored the image in with my Water Color Pencils, Glitter Pens and Stickles (Yellow and Lime green).

(the glitter makes it hard for the lens to focus).

However, I think you get the idea.

The card is a tri-fold card.  I started with a 10x7 card stock, in this case green.  I found the center point and folded both sides into that point, creating a 5x7 shape.

I folded the corners back and added DCWV Glitter Paper to the corners.

The corners do not stay down very well, you may need a glue dot.

I popped on some flowers with gems.  I love these paper flowers, they come already gemmed(is that a word?) It is in my book LOL!

The beautiful swirl card stock underneath is new,

 Basic Grey "Limericky".

What a great fun summer color combo!!

The stamped image was cut out with Nestabilities Label Set.

I added the image onto the front of the card with foam tape to hold it close and then added ribbon sliding it underneath for the final touch.

 

The sentiment, "Have a Sweet Day" also from Impression Obsession was stamped and punched out with my Marvy Scallop Square Punch.

I adhered it with foam tape.

The ribbon is new from Creative Imaginations, it has a nice shimmer to it!! You all knew I would like that!!

I am mending slowly!!

I have always had a bad back.

This time I am not bouncing back as fast.

Maybe it is the age thing?!

I am living at the Chiropractor office and in bed, bored!

Lots to do, the mind is willing the body isn't, yuck.

I head off to Boston to teach in a few hours, I do not know how I am going to make it??

I will be posting as soon as I can, I promise.

I will not be posting for a few days.

I injured my back and am in bed waiting for it to heal.

Hope fully my chiropractor and Advil can heal me up quick!!

I hate that I have so much to do and can get to it :-(

Another Card to share...

 

I made this card while on my Scrap Weekend with my friends.

This is one of the new stamps from Impression Obsession.

I love House images!!

A House image can represent so many ideas: love, family, marriage, new home, etc...

Anyway here is my version of "Thinking of You".

The ribbon got in the way of the tag as I took the photo,

stupid ribbon!

 

That's better, I wanted you to see the tag LOL

The house was embossed using a bright blue powder.  The image was colored in with my Green Copic Markers.  The background was colored in with a Yellow Water Color Pencil.

The background behind the house was also colored in with a water color pencil, this time blue.

The flowers in the stamp were filled in with Flower Soft and Stickles.

Unfortunately we do not carry Flower Soft in the store at this time.

It is a strong possibility for the future.

If you colored in the flowers with just stickles it would be just as nice!!

I framed the image with Bo Bunny Chip Board Die Cut.

The base paper is DCWV with two layers of coordinating card stock.

Ribbon, a tag, and a few brads........done.

I have a few cards to share today.

First is a card I made at the Sue Gilman Show.

Creative Impressions is a great company with lots of cool stuff!!

 

In this class I took, the company was introducing their new color (or non-color) flowers, White.

If you remember in the past they offered Multi-Colored Flower Packs, now they are offering Packs of White and Black only.

The Flowers come in different sized Felt and Shimmer!  OOOOH Nice!

The flowers on this card were layered (large to small felt and shimmer mix) and held together with a brad.  On top of the brad pearls were added for a more elegant touch.

 

The green vine ribbon that we have been carrying for some time was used as the leaves.

Believe it or not the vine is just wound around the flowers and brads, no glue!!

The ribbon for the base of the card was layered row by row.

The excess ribbon was adhered to the back side of the front flap.

Later another white card was placed on top of that to conceal the ribbon ends.

All of these supplies are due in the store any day now!!

I had great day!

My hubby bought me some more 12x12 storage units for my birthday.

Yeah!!

So, needless to say I spent the day reorganizing my room.

I did find some time to create this..

 

The base patterned paper is the new line that just came in from Crate Paper.

The square frames are the peel and stick ones from Memories Complete.  I used four of these frames. I layered them on card stock and more Crate Paper.

I also included the brown print paper from Anna Griffin.

  

The little tags, tabs, and flowers are the Glitter Accents that come with the Crate Paper Line.

I added a metal frame, brads,  and some gems.

One of the frames I made into a journal block (it is hidden under the photo and slides in and out). I cut the "lovely" word off the end of this frame and used it on the other side as a tab.

This came together pretty quickly.

Wow, Twice in one day!!

I missed a few days and I have so much to share!!

I made this card on one of my scrap weekends,

I hope you enjoy it!

 

Sorry, the photo is not great.

I started with a 5x7 card base and matted it with two shades of blue card stock.

I topped that off with Paper from DCWV.

I LOVE THIS PAPER!!

At the bottom I added some Paper Lace from Creative Imaginations.  On top of the lace I added a Rub-On from Dream Street.

The Rings are from Technique Tuesday.  They come in a large package with lots of circles to have fun with.  I chose two of the smaller ones.  I inked them with their own base color (blue and orange).

On the top after inking them, I chose a darker ink, and inked again, this time with an image, and a darker color.These rings are like chip board, but a bit softer and take ink very well.

 

The center of the circles, I filled with card stock.  The white card stock I embossed with my Cuttlebug first.

The deep blue on the smaller one I added another rub-on from Dream Street.

The acetate drops are from Robin's Nest "Dew Drops".

I layered the circles using foam tape, added a big white bow and  small tag!!

I ran the white ribbon under the patterned paper and second card stock layer before I adhered it down.  To give some more room for the ribbon to run underneath I used foam tape to raise the two layers.

I really like these colors!!

I finally have a day off...Yeah!!

As I told you earlier I have lots of birthdays in the next few weeks.

My Aunt is one of them.

I thought I would make her a set of cards.

Becca Feeken, a talented blogger, inspired me for this idea.

I did not just want to make her cards. I wanted to be a little creative. So I decided to give her the ability to make a selection,

card and sentiment.

 

These are the cards I made

The small acetate dots are the new Robin's Nest Dew Drops

(they just arrived!!)

Lots of great colors.

 

These are the sentiments.

They have adhesive on the backs (foam tape for easy use).

  She can choose the card and pop on the sentiment anywhere she likes, I did one up to give her an idea.

 

I put all the square sentiments in a small sheer bag.  I think it is super cute!

If I do say so myself LOL.

The paper is from DCWV.  It has a slight shimmer to it and also has a patterned paper with decorative strips you can cut out.  I only used one patterned paper and one strip paper for this set.

The squares were so easy to make!!

I used my handy-dandy Marvy Scallop Square Punches and the Cuttlebug Stamp Cut.

I layered them, using foam tape for just one of the layers.

I stamped my sentiments using Impression Obsession Clear Stamps.

Look how nice and clear they stamped out.  This company always makes high quality stamps.

I like this set in particular because these sentiments are very versatile.

 

The green ink I used is old and has a variegated look to it.

Kind of different?!

The pink paper in between the green layers is DCWV Sparkle Paper.

It looks really nice sandwiched between the two plain card stock pieces.

You know how I love my bling!!

I think I am going to make a few more sets....Mother's Day???
